The Morris Township Police Department is a law enforcement agency that protects residents lives and property, arrests violators of the law, and prevents and deters crime. It undertakes various criminal cases and works with other state, local and federal agencies to ensure public safety. The Morris Township Police Department has the Crisis Response Team (CRT), which responds to barricaded and hostage situations, bomb threats, special events and civil defense. The department operates a communication center that maintains a multichannel police system and provides communication services for police, fire and emergency medical assistance. The Morris Township Police Department undertakes cases related to sexual offenses, noise checks, domestic violence, fingerprinting, vehicle registration, gun permitting and drug abuse.
