The Morris Township Police Department is a primary law enforcement agency that provides services to the public. The department prevents crime, protects residents lives and property, suppresses criminal activity, and apprehends and prosecutes offenders. It maintains a Special Response Team (SRT) that provides services in emergency and dangerous conditions, such as barricaded and hostage situations, bomb threats, special events and civil defense. The department has a records division that manages and processes department reports, requests, firearm permits, and registration and identification documents. The Morris Township Police Department maintains a communication and dispatch center that provides information and communication services to various agencies.
