KIDS FIRST is a pediatric day health care program for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 4 years who have special health care needs. The program employs a director, social worker, secretary and nurse, as well as early childhood developmental specialists and child development aides. KIDS FIRST offers speech and language, occupational and physical therapies. It provides nutritional and audiological services. The program is operated by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Department of Pediatrics, which offers a range of clinical services and research and education programs. The department employs more than 200 faculty members and over 950 professionals, paraprofessionals and support staff members. KIDS FIRST is offered in Morrilton, Ark.
