- Dental CareFor patients scheduled for dental cleanings: a dental cleaning for dogs and cats involves a full mouth health examination, cleaning, and, if necessary, extraction of teeth. When a pet’s teeth are loose or abscessed, it is left to the veterinarian’s discretion as to whether or not they should be extracted. Cost is based on the length of time required to extract the teeth. Please speak directly with your pet’s veterinarian to determine approximate cost of extractions if not already provided on the estimate. Please check one of the following in case any unexpected extractions are found...

- Behavioral CounselingDog and cat overpopulation is a very serious problem. Spaying or neutering your pet is a way help control this problem. Having your pet spayed or neutered at an early age can also help prevent future complications and/or illnesses including mammary tumors, prostate problems, uterine infection, and testicular or ovarian cancer. Some behavioral problems such as aggression may be prevented by early neutering.
- Nutritional CounselingWe have an Underwater Treadmill for rehabilitation and weight loss. We have opened a Canine Rehabilitation Center and Animal Wellness Center in the lower level of our facility.
- Comprehensive ExaminationWe recommend that you bring your exotic pet in for an annual exam, just like you would a dog or cat. Birds and reptiles are especially good at hiding symptoms of illness, so wellness exams are very important. An annual exam from one of our veterinarians can help ensure your pet’s health.
- Parasites Treatment and ControlYour pet has been scheduled for an anesthetic procedure. Our surgery check-in time is between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. Please call us prior to this date if there are any additional problems or concerns that you would like the doctor to address while your pet is in the hospital. While your pet is in the hospital, there are several procedures, which some pets resent when awake, that can be done at this opportune time. These include placement of a microchip (which is a permanent identification method), having anal glands expressed, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, heartworm test, or a fecal exam. Vaccines can be given after your pet has fully recovered from anesthesia. Again, just let us know prior to your pet’s scheduled procedure date, or call us if you would like further explanation of these services.

- Wound and Fracture CareI have always felt the most comfortable at this veterinary hospital. The doctors and techs are all incredible. Recently I had to come in early for an urgent care visit and they were kind, effective, and even got me some coffee! I love that the vet called a couple days later to check on my pet's progress and reminded me to call or visit if anything changes. This is my favorite place.

We are especially concerned with the health of the liver and kidneys. We strongly recommend having the blood work performed to help determine the health of your pet.
