- Kitchen RemodelingThis new home built in the Sugar Bowl ski resort had many exciting features to build and materials made from renewable resources. The entire first floor is constructed of sandblasted board-formed concrete. Giant roof trusses were built on site with 22”x26” Douglas fir timbers. All the cabinets are made from redwood wine tank staves and the countertops are made from turn of the century Union Pacific train car decking.
- FireplacesThis new home was built in the Sugar Bowl ski resort. Details include grand staircases with hand carved details in the railings and wainscot on the main level. Large windows throughout the chalet gather light for the long hallways and lower-level bedrooms. The living room, designed for family gatherings, features an expansive wood barrel ceiling in Douglas fir and an adjoining outdoor stone patio with built-in fireplace and hot tub.
- Skylight Repair/ReplacementThis backyard Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in the uplands of Berkeley has radiant heat with polished concrete floors and rainwater storage. Skylights illuminate a central living/dining/kitchen area. The shingled exterior harmonizes with the adjacent original house, while windows are oriented to provide privacy for the inhabitants.
- SidingThis new home was built in the mountain home community of Martis Camp in Truckee. The Cor-Ten metal siding was fabricated on-site creating a maintenance-free exterior. Mesquite floors and stairs were custom milled to our specs. The concrete floors are heated with radiant tubing and have stainless steel inlays.
