Formally known as Kanabec Hospital, Welia Health System has been servicing the community's needs since 1945. It is a self-sustaining, county - owned, critical access hospital and clinic system. Welia Health system offers 24-hour emergency care, has a 4-bay surgery suite, and a newly remodeled birthing center. Welia also offers intensive care, laboratory and imaging services, sports medicine, rehabilitation services, diabetes education, OB/GYN services, nutritional counseling, chemotherapy, and social services.
