- UltrasoundUltrasound therapy is a general term for various types and modalities of therapeutic ultrasonic procedures. This method uses sound waves at a very high frequency to stimulate tissue in the body, break down scar tissue, reduce pain, and promote healing. The deep heat produced through ultrasound therapy can enhance the body’s natural healing process in order to reduce pain from affected tissues. The high frequency sound waves used can treat conditions such as tendonitis, arthritis, and musculoskeletal injuries. Additional benefits can include improved circulation, reduced chronic swelling and inflammation, faster metabolism, reduced nerve root irritation, and breaking or softening of scar tissue. During a treatment session, a gel will be applied to the skin over the affected area or to the head of the ultrasound machine. A probe is then placed on top of the affected area and is continuously moved over the skin for several minutes. The gel conducts or transmits the energy from the machine into the tissues. The dosage of the ultrasound can be modified in both intensity and frequency, depending on the condition.

- Physical TherapyAlso known as spinal manipulation, our chiropractic adjustments are non-invasive treatments that manually adjust or manipulate the spine, other joints and soft tissues, to address mechanical disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system. By using controlled sudden force to restore proper alignment of the body’s structures, manual adjustments allow a return of mobility to body structures restricted by injury. Chiropractic treatments can be complemented by other treatments, including physical therapy, medical massage, and acupuncture.
