Step back in time by visiting our 100 year old bakery! Franke's Bakery is a family owned bakery since 1914 in heart of downtown Montgomery and the middle of Czech Country. Kolacky are our specialty! They are filled with the traditional Czech flavors of prune, poppy seed and apricot as well as apple and raspberry. We are known for our breads, rolls and donuts made from scratch. I always pick-up kolaches (& any other Bohemian treats) for my Dad's (Drabek) family reunion at Franke's. We've been going there for years - ever since a dear friend of my Mom & Dad's (Bob Nedved) from IOWA recommended them. Bob told my Dad the best "store bought" kolach around came from Mont-ga-mary, Minnesota! As far as I'm concerned you can't beat kolacky's that come this highly recommended from 2 families that are 100% Bohunk!!! (their poppyseed crescents are awesome too - just like Mom used to make)
