Established in 1933, First South Farm Credit is a lending institution offering services for full-time and part-time farmers and agribusinesses. Based in Montgomery, Ala., it serves Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi with 46 offices in the area and offers loans to purchase and finance land and timber, hunting and recreational property, loans for land improvement, construction of ponds, lakes and country cabins. Apart from short and intermediate-term loans which are offered for agribusiness and agricultural production and long-term land loans offered through loan participation program, it also provides Agriline Account, AutoDraft and FastCash services.
