SIG Manufacturing Company produces more than 2,000 products that range from injection-molded accessories and parts to complete airplane models. The company is headquartered in its 80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Montezuma, Iowa. It is a leading processor of balsa, spruce, maple, bass and plywood. It also has a paint and fuel division that manufactures paints, glow fuels and chemicals. Its model airplanes are designed in radio-controlled, free flight and control line varieties. SIG Manufacturing s airplane models are designed with kits that feature state-of-the-art laser-cut parts for fast assembly and accurate cuts. SIG Manufacturing Company is also the exclusive distribution agent in North America for Avistar two-stroke glow engines; First Place Engines gas-fueled aircraft engines; and almost-ready-to-fly R/C airplanes by Neofun, GlassAir and Hacker Model Production.
