Gilbert's Seafood Grill Restaurant is casual dining space that offers a variety of dining options to students. Enjoyed it.

Ate here by accident, our regular restaurant was swamped with customers and we didn't want to wait.

Seating area is nice with overview of the harbor and the sea lions. Kids enjoyed looking out the window at the sea lions and pelicans.

Food was excellent. Thought the lunch portion of the crab bake was appropriate for lunch, but the difference of only $1 for the dinner portion probably wasn't worth trying to save a dollar. Get the dinner portion. Clam chowder is delicious. Not my favorite on the wharf, but certainly high on the list. They often offer coupons for a free calamari appetizer when handing out samples of chowder on the wharf.

Wait staff took good care of us. Friendly and timely without being overbearing.

Price was good, not even having to take into consideration you are eating on the wharf. Most plates $10-20.
