      Cardiac Rehabilitation is a medically supervised program to help heart patients recover quickly and improve their overall physical, mental and social functioning. Cardiac Rehabilitation is recommended after heart surgery, a heart attack, angioplasty and/or a stent. The goal is to stabilize, slow or even reverse the progression of cardiovascular disease, thereby reducing the risk of heart disease, another cardiac event or death. Your Cardiac Rehabilitation program will begin shortly after you leave the hospital and will include exercise, education and an individualized care plan.
