I had dinner there, everything was going good until the entree of scallops arrived. They were undercooked, I sent them back and waited at least 10 minutes for them to be cooked. I received the same scallops back including the ones I had cut apart - OK I accept that. However, while I'm waiting for my dinner to return my husband was continuing with his. Then when he's finished he's waiting on me. Not avery enjoyable way to have dinner. No real apologies, I would expect an offer of a free dessert or some way of making up for the disrupted meal. Bread, soup, salad were all really good, my husband had the swordfish special and was pleased. The prices are just a bit high but that's OK if they can offer excellent service and know how to keep a customer happy. I won't be going back.

Attended a bridal shower at the Wooden Nickel by far one of the best places to have a catered event. The service, atmosphere and the food are second to none
The fine food at this restaurant is unfortunately spoiled by the crowded conditions and high ambient noise. Although the service was prompt and courteous, the younger waitresses seemed to think that the crowded conditions gave them latitude to lean completely over the plate of one of our party, dragging their aprons and sleeves over that person?s plate, to serve another person at our table. With the dining area situated immediately next to the bar, an obnoxiously loud bartender made things even worse. He would incessantly and inconsiderately bellow out boisterous banalities to someone seated or standing only inches from him, causing members of our party to jump at his unexpectedly loud and sometimes rude comments.Given the scarcity of finely prepared food in this area of the city, it is a shame to have this one otherwise bright spot diminished by an unconscious staff. On our next trip to this area we will be seeking another dining establishment to meet with our clients.
Service is excellent with a quaint and elegant atmosphere.
