Located in Monroe, N.C., Sardis Elementary School is a public, coeducational school that serves more than 800 students in graders kindergarten through five and offers a wide variety of academic and extracurricular activities. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, reading, social studies, science, physical education, art, music and computers. It provides a variety of facilities and services, including computer laboratories, playing fields, a library, cafeteria and transportation. The elementary school parent-teacher organization raises funds to provide various products and equipment, such as scanners, library books, school supplies, sound systems, playground equipment and security cameras. Additionally, it organizes various events, such as book fairs, musical performances and skating. Sardis Elementary School is operated by Union County Public Schools.
