The Purchasing Division, governed by the City of Monroe, provides goods, equipment and services to the city departments. The division administers the development of new sources and the selection of suppliers, negotiations and adjustments. It also develops and promotes vendor relations through various buying practices and the maintenance of ethical standards. The Purchasing Division effects maximum feasible standardization of products used within and among departments in order to minimize stock levels and obtain better prices.
