I had the pleasure of visiting this fine establishment accompanied by wife whom is with child. I opted for the catfish w/ mac and cheese and she ordered the shrimp and grits which both dishes were phenomenal in every since of the word. The waiter was quite courteous and friendly ensuring that our lunch experience would be that of a pleasant one. It is simple to write a review and share my experience, however to fully understand the essence of this place one has to go and experience it for themselves. I highly recommend going to Portico, you will be glad you did.

LOVE Portico - it's the only restaurant that my whole family can agree on. There is something for everyone at this restaurant - from my pick two year old, a paleo dieter, to a vegetarian!

7/2013 was my first time visiting portico. The food was GREAT, but our waiter was rude. We had to keep reminding her to bring the things we asked for and the store wasn't even busy. I will be going back but through the drive thru to avoid horrible customer service

I've eaten her twice and the food was okay but not good enough for the price and quantity of food you receive.

I have been to this business on 3 occasions and thought the first experience was great, I certainly could not say the same for the second and third experience that I had. As the manager of a local business I like to look for local places to take out of town coworkers when they visit Monroe. The second time I went to this location We sat at the bar area and my boss (from out of town) had to listen to the bartender vent and complain about two ladies that had just left after spending 40 bucks on a meal and had the nerve to leave without leaving a tip. Not only did I feel that this was a completely inappropriate topic to discuss with customers but we all left feeling as though he was making sure that we knew that we better tip. Thinking that this bad experience may have been an isolated incident I took my mother and sister here as well since they had never been. We had to force the waiter to speak to us and when we ordered the appetizer he brought all of our food to the table at once, (appetizer, Main course, and salad) I had never been so rushed and treated so disrespectfully as I have at this restaurant and I vow never to return.

I love this restaurant! I think it it definately a fun place to take your friends or your family! I love the food especially the ribeye. Portico has a lil bit of everything and has a great atmosphere!

I think it is a great spot with good food and excellent service. When you are there on a Friday night, you don't feel like you are in Monroe. I do take out from there once a week for lunch, so I am very familiar with the menu.I recommend it!

Fair restaurant. The food is okay, atmosphere okay...not really anything special. Luckily, the prices aren't that high so you don't feel bad about paying for the "okay" food.
