- Criminal DefenseMy practice is focused on defending State and Federal criminal cases in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties in South Carolina. I also take great interest in preserving the intent of the Founders of our Country that all are equal before the eyes of the law and that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I take a very personal approach to defending my clients. During the course of our relationship, I discuss all aspects of the case with the client. I pride myself on my communication with my clients. Criminal defense is an extremely personal and emotion practice. My goal is for my clients to say at the end of their case, “Brady cares about me, and is really good at his job.”

- Wrongful DeathMy practice today is focused on helping people navigate complex legal issues that sometimes do not readily fit in a particular category of legal services. I have defended hundreds of criminal and DUI cases in my career and I have litigated a wide variety of cases in the court room, from wrongful death cases to serious felonies. I have also helped prevent many people from being criminally charged and provided investigative resources to help solve complex legal problems without going to court.
- Traffic ViolationsI regularly advice clients in this area and the avoidance of collateral consequences. Whether it be Reckless Driving or Distribution of Marijuana, I pay great attention to both the consequences of a conviction and how to hopefully avoid them altogether.
- Drug CrimesI was arrested for two felony drug charges. Mr. Vannoy successfully negotiated my case into the Pretrial Intervention program. I was able to complete this program successfully and these two charges were dismissed. Mr. Vannoy realized my career was in jeopardy and he immediately went to work defending my case. He met with me in the jail, helped me get released, and was the reason my charges were dismissed. I would not recommend another attorney other than him.
- AssaultI am here to say that I am extremely pleased to have Brady represent me on two occassions. One was a simple possesion charge that Mr. Vannoy had dismissed and the other was an assault and battery 2nd charge. Mr. Vannoy attended my bond hearing at night and the Judge agreed to give me a personal recognizance bond. Mr. Vannoy was successful in having the assault and battery 2nd charge dismissed shortly thereafter. I could not be more pleased and have nothing more to say than he is very prof... Read more
- MurderThe Courts of General Sessions in this State have trial court jurisdiction over criminal offenses in this State. Everything from DUI2 to Murder is heard in General Sessions Court. Normally, the policy is that once a person is released from jail, they are given a “roll call date” and sometimes a “bond return date” depending on the judicial circuit and their home rules. Each circuit has different policies and procedures. Generally, “Solicitors” prosecute general sessions offenses. Many states refer to them as “district attorneys” or “DAs”. Juries are composed of twelve members and guilty verdicts are required to be unanimous.
- Personal InjuryMost personal injury cases I deal with are “negligence cases”. Generally, “negligence” is a breach of the duty of care that results in damages. There are several facts that make up a negligence case in South Carolina. These are...
