General Info
In high school, I wanted senior pictures at a reasonable price from someone who understood what I wanted to get in my portraits. In my area, that's hard to find. How better to get what I wanted than to just do it myself? I bought my first Nikon SLR camera with two lenses and I learned what there was to know about portrait photography. I didn't know much, but I had an awesome teacher and a lot of drive. My great aunt Barbara gave me my next camera, a 1970s or 1980s Minolta. This camera really opened it up for me for portrait photography. some of my favorite photos were taken with that camera and I still use it on weekends and for clients wanting a retro flare. In 2010 I started the photojournalism program at Ball State University and had a veteran photojournalist as my professor. I learned an incredible amount and gained a new perspective for my portrait and wedding services--that of a photojournalist. In 2011 I'm starting the journalism program oat Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (that's a mouthful, huh?) I'm looking forward to learning from the urban landscape of Indianapolis and allowing my surroundings to bring a new flair to my photography. It's all about expanding my creativity, and I will never stop on that. This drive to always learn more is what can guarantee awesome photos and service when you come to JNPhoto. I treat everyone like family, because you are family to me. Every single client is special and important, because your photos are special and important. I'll do everything I can for you, and if I need help to make your experience perfect, I'll get help from someone as good or better than me. You are my only client when you're with me.
