The Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District provides fire protection and prevention, safety education, emergency medical aid and other emergency response services. It provides information and literature on many topics related to fire safety, including home and workplace. The fire protection district offers first aid classes for residents, business owners and day care providers, in accordance with the American Heart Association guidelines. The Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District also conducts several fire station tours and presentations at career day fairs, special school events, fire drills and carnivals. It supports the Life Jacket Loaner Program, which offers public service using U.S Coast Guard-approved equipment, as well as provides life jackets for temporary loan at its stations. The Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District maintains a fire station in Modesto, Calif.
