Roosevelt Junior High School is a part of the Modesto City School District, which operates several elementary, junior high and high schools. Located in Modesto, Calif., the school was named in honor of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States. The school serves more than 900 students in grades seven and eight. Roosevelt Junior High School offers courses in various subjects, including language arts, mathematics, science and history. It also conducts sessions in character education and accelerated reading. In addition, the school offers physical education, behavioral development and academic achievement programs. Roosevelt Junior High School also operates various groups and associations, including a student council and parent-teacher-student organization.
