These people have no compassion or sympathy for anyone. They are not caring Christian people. They belittle the people in their care and tell them they will never be anything but third class citizens that do not contribute anything to society. They kicked my daughter out and said to come pick her up, she was out on the sidewalk when I got there. I called and talked to them the next day asking them to take her back and they said no they were closed down because they had COVID. They never said anything about anyone having COVID when they said to pick her up, so now I have been exposed to COVID. Shouldn't that be against the law to deliberately expose someone to COVID and not let them know anything about it until the next day. And they wouldn't have said anything about it if I had not called.
Went to buy an area rug. I found one I loved lying on the floor. I was told they usually do not sell the rugs they receive. They use them there. ???? It is just me or does this seem wrong to you too? I will never donate to them again.
I just want to let folks know that people in recovery at the wings of life cannot have visitors on Wednesday and Sundays as the front page of their webpage clearly puts up. But the truth is they are able to visit with immediate family only, & are only allowed 2 phone calls for 8 mins a week. Also the staff or ministers there argue, yell, and put down new people that have been there for a very short time and literally make them carry their belongings across the street or off their property without allowing them to use the phone to contact anyone, after returning a persons cell phone that was never turned off by anyone who confiscated the phone when they arrived. If you cannot afford treatment with out of pocket funds, or insurance. I would highly recommend that you drive or get a ride to Pensacola for the teen challenge program. They have the highest success rate in christian based recovery. They also have staff or someone available to speak with you or someone you love when you call. The wings of life gives that responsibility to one person who takes many days to call you back if they return the call at all. I am glad if they can help even one person recover from addiction but I really wouldn't recommend them to my friends or loved ones. And I cant even find it in my heart to shop at the thrift store that looks more like a dumpster divers year round garage sale.
