Murphy High School is spread over 40-acre campus at Mobile, Ala., and was formerly known as Mobile High School. It was established in 1926 and offers its services to more than 1,900 students in grades nine through 12. The school is a charter member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is affiliated with the Mobile County School District. The subjects offered include English, arts, science, mathematics, social studies, fine arts and health and physical education. The school provides a variety of clubs and organizations for the students, such as four arts, Murphy s service and French clubs, the Family Career and Community Leaders of America, the Future Business Leaders of America and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Future Educators of America. In addition, Murphy High School offers a variety of athletic activities that include baseball, basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, softball, tennis, golf, cross country, and track and field.
