Girl Scouts of the Deep South Council is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 5,000 girls and over 2,000 adult volunteers. It offers a variety of recreational programs and events. Additionally, the organization provides Pony Tails, Brownie Try-It Camp, Wild Time Girls and Busy Bees programs. Girl Scouts of the Deep South Council conducts training sessions for Brownie, Junior and Older Girl Scouts. It also provides counseling and training services for Senior Girl Scouts. The organization also conducts shampoo parties, picnics and yoga sessions. It offers programs related to leadership opportunities, communication and social skills development, money management and financial literacy. The organization s resident camp program includes activities, such as swimming, canoeing, hiking, cooking and riding. Girl Scouts of the Deep South Council also provides Night Owls, Summer Samplers and Trail Blazers programs. It maintains a presence in Mobile, Ala.
