- Pediatric CareThe experts in The Spine Center at The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., provide surgical and nonsurgical treatment for all types of neck and back pain, injuries, and diseases. Each doctor has specialty fellowship training in the spine. The Spine Center experts are trained and experienced in these areas of spine care: deformity, trauma, and pediatrics as well as neurosurgical, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar degenerative disorders.
- Primary CareLike a doctor, a nurse practitioner can diagnose and treat acute conditions, order diagnostic tests like X-rays or lab work, manage a patient’s overall care, serve as a primary care provider and write prescriptions. They can also be board-certified in specialties like orthopaedics.
- Emergency CareAlec was walking through a field when a bee landed on his left calf. As he swatted at the bee, he twisted awkwardly, causing his knee to dislocate beneath him. His knee was stabilized at an urgent care facility, but it was already clear that he would need more significant medical attention. This seemingly minor accident resulted in two ligaments completely severing, with the lateral collateral ligament rupturing, in addition to his ACL.

- MRIMRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is an imaging tool doctors use to look for and diagnose injuries that can’t otherwise be detected through X-ray. Doctors usually recommend an MRI scan for patients to look for joint degeneration, tumors, fractures, and other musculoskeletal damage or disease. MRI scans are performed at our Airport Boulevard location in Mobile County and our Fairhope location in Baldwin County.
- RadiologyA digital X-ray (digital radiology) is a form of imaging where digital X-ray sensors are used in place of traditional photographic film. Digital X-ray is used to diagnose conditions by taking pictures of the inside of the body. Digital X-ray is available at our Airport Boulevard, Springhill Avenue, Fairhope, Foley, and Saraland locations.
- X-Rays
- Computed TomographyA computed tomography (CT) scan, also known as CAT scan, produces images that are similar in detail and in quality to an MRI. However, the CT scan takes a 360-degree picture of internal organs and the spine and vertebrae. CT scans provide cross-sectional views of the body and provide clearer imaging than an MRI.
- General SurgeryPhysician assistants provide a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, which have traditionally been performed by doctors. PAs are trained to conduct physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, order and interpret X-rays and laboratory studies, write prescriptions, develop treatment plans, and instruct and counsel patients. They also treat injuries by suturing, splinting, and casting. Additionally, PAs may assist in surgery. These providers may see patients independently and/or directly with a doctor.
- OrthopedicsOrthopaedics (alternatively, orthopedics) is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions, disorders, and injuries of the muscles, bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and nerves.
