Established in 1954, Bishop State Southwest Campus provides postsecondary vocational training programs and is located in Mobile, Ala. It offers technical programs in air conditioning and refrigeration, automotive mechanics, cabinetmaking, carpentry, civil engineering technology, cosmetology, diesel mechanics, and drafting and design technology. The college also offers courses in electronics technology, graphic communications, jewelry design, nail technology, occupational safety technology, process and instrumentation technology, truck driving and watch repair. The campus has a telecommunications center that includes a computer lab, and satellite downlink and videoconference facilities. Bishop State Southwest Campus is a part of the Bishop State Community College that comprises Baker-Gaines Central Campus, Bishop State Carver Campus and the Bishop State Main Campus.
