Castro Elementary is a learning center that provides education services for students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It offers classes in music, physical education and science. The school maintains a library and provides choir activities. Castro Elementary offers membership opportunities in the University Interscholastic League. It is a part of the Mission Consolidated Independent School District, which enrolls students in elementary, junior high and high schools. The district operates bilingual education, instructional technology and special education departments.
