This place has been here for years. Its a good, solid option for the family. Good barbecue and good portions.

Not a lot of bbq shop around this section of the valley, I only know of 3 up here, but its really good. Super friendly service and not a very long weight.

An all-around great place. With saw dust on the floor you feel like you’re in the right place. If you’re anywhere even close to Bear Pit you have to give it a try. Everything is freshly made and taste just right. Don’t even get me started on the garlic toast!

Best BBQ ever. Great food and prices. Our family has been eating here since Max Bear opened it 45 plus years ago. Excellent service. I highly recommend the Bear Pit Special on Garlic toast, the beans are the best I've ever had, great Cole slaw. You won't be disappointed. Their BBQ sauce is to die for. We moved to OC in 76 and still make trips out to the valley every month or so.

You can't beat Bear Pit for Barbecue. It's the best. Garlic Bread Sandwich is a must. Ribs are out of this world too!.
