I went to this market to buy tamales today. I paid for 12 tamales at the cafeteria counter and the woman working the counter brought me to the deli to pick out which tamales I wanted (there was a language barrier, so this made it easier for both of us!). After I was given my tamales (which, again, I had paid for), I left and got in my car. As I was pulling away, a man ran up to me and said I did not pay. I told him I had paid. He asked what was in the bag. I told him tamales. He demanded to see my receipt. While fumbling around my purse trying to find the receipt, I kept telling him I had paid. Finally I produced to receipt and he let me leave. Oh, and did I mention this happened today, May 5, (Cinco de Mayo). The place was busy in the parking lot as they had tents up and festivities taking place. Very embarrassing! Will not go back.
