Joffe Medicenter is horrendous. I, very recently, underwent a full lasik procedure, for distance. Over $2,500, with substandard results. I was informed that I "may, periodically, require reading glasses; though, it's highly unlikely." Wrong. I now have severe myopic vision. This facility is nothing more than a glorified financial processing center, where patients are treated like livestock, by a seemingly robotic, uncaring, uninformed staff. A completely horrific experience, with highly adverse, long-term health results. Do further research, and go elsewhere.

I had high hopes upon my first visit here to find out if I could have lasik done.The place appears to have gone down hill since my friend came here a couple years ago. I think everyone has left since the girl who worked with me with said she was new and that everyone there is. Waited an eternity for my appointment even though I couldn't see any one else in the place except me. They did do my tests for free and told me I could do lasik so at least I didn't have to pay. Still excited to have lasik done but will be moving on.

I had the lasik done on Friday, 7/23/10 - today is Saturday 7/24/10. Prior to lasik, my vision with glasses was just barely 20/20. Without glasses I was 20/80. I had the surgery at 4:00 pm Friday. This morning I went in at 8:00 for my follow up exam. My vision is 20/15 and to be quite honest, I was able to make out a couple letters on the 20/10 scale, so for all I know I could even improve to that. The surgery was completely painless and fast. The entire staff did a great job and I felt very safe and comfortable through the entire experience. I couldn't be happier that I went through with this and I would encourage anyone considering it to bite the bullet and get it done. On a side note, thus far i've had absolutely zero side effects. No dry eyes, no pain, no blurry eyes. Nothing. My vision is absoutely perfect thanks to Joffe Medicenter.

I had the Lasix procedure done on 5/21 - 4 days ago. My sight has never been better. They were very professional to deal with and Dr Whiting was beyond nice. I couldn't have felt more cared for. The procedure was painless and in a matter of minutes it was done. Less than 24 hours later my vision was measured at better than 20/20. It is so exciting to be able to walk in the rain without looking through raindrops or to kiss my wife without her makeup messing up my lenses. I wish I would have done it years ago. THANK YOU Joffe Medicenter for what you do - all of my friends that need vision correction will hear about you.

I also am having problems with a blurry right eye...although I haven't been to my three month exam yet, so I will give it a few more months time to see if anything changes. My experiences at Joffe have been quite good, everyone for the most part has been real polite and caring. My only complain about he service is that there was a young woman named Jessica who was sitting at the front desk when I came in for my consultation that was quite rude. When I asked her questions, it seemed as though I was wasting her time and I even got an eye roll! When I visited for my followup exam, she was tending the front desk again and was being very rude to a person which she was on the phone with. This should be a place for professional attitudes and I felt like she was acting like a high school student! Other than that everyone else was very, very nice!

I have gone in 4 times since my surgery complaining of this, and they give me the same answer every time. "give it time your vision will get better and crispen up" Bull! It has been the same since the day after surgery, if not worse!! Now they tell me if I want to come in for another eye exam (my eye is still blurry (20/40 vision) that I am going to have to pay $100 for an exam, when they told me before i did the surgery I had 1 year free exams, and free enhancements for blurryness, but now that I have not perfect vision in one of my eyes, they said that It is not a good idea to have it enhanced this early after surgery, so I am stuck with a blurry eye, and cannot see anything at night because of this. I am pi$$ed, I thought the price was great, but I guess I shoulda known that I got what I paid for. STAY AWAY!!

I can't believe I'm the first to write a review! My experience was nothing more than PERFECT. The staff is very friendly and informed. Dr. Whiting is to say the least, very professional and caring. I now have the best vision of my life...better than with glasses or contacts...all with a ten minute procedure!!Thank you Dr Whiting, and all of your staff...I really can't say enough good about you guys!Terry Williquett
