My 2 yr old computer locked up. The Geek squad fixed it. The whole time I was looking at the price of a new laptop and trying to justify investing in a new computer instead. Yes prices have come down a lot ... too bad repair prices have not come down. But I am happy and the kids are not going to touch this laptop.
They were relatively helpful over the phone, but when I brought my PC in after having some heat-related problems, the supervisor really surprised me. It turned out to be a very simple physical problem, and he found it in about three seconds flat. What's more, he fixed and didn't charge me because it had been such a small thing. That's integrity!

Too expensive. Just not worth it. They dont pay their techs well and it reflects in the repairs

Going to Geek Squad was the worst decision I have made. They have poor customer service and they had the nerve to charge me just to look at my computer. They wanted to wipe my hard drive before they even knew what was wrong. If you value your money and your equipment, stay away!

Geek Squad has to be the most expensive and poorest computer repair around. I took my computer in for a memory upgrade. It was working fine before I took it there. they called me and told me the hard drive was failing and needed to be replaced, then called again saying my mother board was dead. They recommended I buy a new PC. I told them to stop working on it, picked it up and took my computer to another repair shop. Found out there was NOTHING wrong with my computer. They even upgraded my memory at a lot lower cost than Geek Squad quoted me. Avoid taking anything to Geek Squad, they don't know what they are doing at all!
NEVER again. My desktop computer (6 months ago) cost over $400 to repair - it was only a $600 computer in the first place - and they lost all my data in the process. My laptop recently had a broken dc jack and all they wanted to do was to sell me a new laptop. They needed to send mine out to be repaired and since I didn't have two weeks for that, there were no help at all. I was in a hurry to get something done (I needed it for an important meeting). Luckily I found a local company that took care of me and fixed it in 24 hours.
Their response to the trouble with my PC was excellent, the Agent was very nice, but unfortunately my computer keeps crashing since and they say it has nothing to do with what the agent had repaired. So, i would have to have them come back out again, get charged again for the visit and also be charged for whatever the "NEW" problem may be. Not too happy!

250.00 To inspect my network, then 150.00 to repair it. The whole router and cables cost me 95.00. Was it worth it, no.

Do NOT bring your computer here! These guys have no clue what they are doing. There was a clicking in my computer and the guy actually told me that was supposed to be like that and that he didn't know what was wrong. I brought it inot a real computer repair shop and found out the hard drive was dead. They had the computer fixed that same day. Todd Meyers
