- Dental SurgeryUnder general anestesia a full mouth exam will be preformed for your pet and we will be able to not only clean and polish the teeth, to help get rid of bad breath, but also assess the teeth with a probe to look for dental disease underneath the gum line, that is not visual with the naked eye. We also have the ability to preform oral surgery if needed, which includes but may not be limited to abscess treatment, extractions, mass removals and even root treatment.Â
- Veterinary SurgeryThese are typically preformed when our pet's have eaten something they shouldn't have causing a foreign body that may become lodged or blocked somewhere that is unable to pass through without surgical intervention. - MicrochippingMicrochipping is the only unique, tamper-proof, permanent mode of identification and is as small as a grain of rice. While we recommend microchipping at the time of a pets spay or neuter, they can be done at any time in a pets life. The process is very simple, we scan your pet for a previous microchip that may have been placed from a breeder/rescue/previous owner. If not microchip is found, we implant the small microchip which has as unique number that sends small radiowave frequencies to microchip scanners, between the shoulder blades using a slightly larger size needle than what we give vaccines with. We then rescan with our scanner to see that the chip has been implanted under the skin.
- Senior Pet CareWellness exams are an essential part of your pets health, and while younger pets only need to be seen once a year for a physical exam, we recommend senior pets have a physical exam twice a year. Subtle changes in their activity such as eating, drinking, coughing or diarrhea can be hints that something else may be going on. During your pets exam the doctor will do a full head to toe exam while checking the heart rate, respiration rate and other vital signs.
