  Pete joins BBFG as a Federally Registered Tax Preparer with 8 years of experience in 1040, self-employed, Schedule Cs, & rental tax preparation.  Additionally, Pete has over 35 years accounting experience as a CFO, Controller and Chief Administrative Officer.

  Today, the company is owned by three partners, Scott Burns, Frank Ell, and Frank Shimkus. Along with the partners, the other members of the company consists of highly skilled income tax advisors/preparers and financial planners including current generation Burns’ family members.

  Frank enjoys working with individuals on both their tax and investment planning needs, as he believes the two go together when planning for saving and income needs

  Scott joined BBFG in 1988 as a Tax Advisor. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, is a LPL Investment Advisor Representative and a licensed Minnesota insurance broker. Scott counsels and provides guidance with 401-k’s, IRA rollovers, wealth management, as well as retirement and income planning.

  Jessica came to BBFG in 2019 as a tax assistant under the tutelage of Natalie Burns.  She is a Federally Registered Tax Preparer working with individual returns.  Jessica also provides accounting and payroll services for BBFG small business clients.

  Katie is the administrative assistant to Frank Ell and brings to BBFG 17+ years of marketing experience from a company that sold annuities and life insurance.  In that role, she supported marketers and agents when working with their clients, and provided training and education on the products.
