Similiar to other drugs in this category, including Botox and Dysport, that also have FDA approval for the treatment of facial wrinkles. - Eyelid SurgeryThe surgery generally takes about one to three hours and is performed in the physician’s office. If additional cosmetic procedures are being performed, the eyelid surgery could last longer.
- LiposuctionWhile the goal of treatment is not a replacement for diet and exercise, liposuction improves contours of parts of the body which have not been reshaped through physical activity and healthy habits.
- Breast AugmentationBreast augmentation accentuates the size and shape of a woman's breasts. While breast augmentation will make the breasts larger, the surgery will not move the breasts closer together or lift sagging breasts.
- Breast ReductionLarge breasts can cause physical pain as well as emotional and social anxiety. Women who take advantage of the breast reduction procedure find that they are able to lead a healthier, more comfortable life, in addition to enjoying a beautiful, more proportionate appearance.
- Breast LiftAs a woman ages, skin loses its elasticity, which can cause the breasts to lose their natural shape and firmness. This procedure is designed to elevate the breasts and give them a more youthful appearance. A breast lift may also be performed in conjunction with breast enlargement surgery (augmentation).
- RhinoplastyNote: If rhinoplasty is being utilized to correct a breathing problem or nose deformity, the procedure may be covered under the patient’s insurance policy.
- Breast ReconstructionThe breast augmentation procedure is a tremendous help to patients who desire a fuller profile, who have lost breast volume due to pregnancy or nursing, or who have undergone breast reconstruction and want to gain a more natural look again.

- Face LiftContour Thread Lift is an implantable, specially designed surgical thread used to lift sagging skin on the mid-face, forehead, eyebrows, and neck. Colloquially, it has been referred to as the “lunchtime facelift” because of its short duration, which is approximately one hour. It is also popular because of the minimal recovery time involved. While the Contour Thread Lift is not designed to replace a full surgical
- BlepharoplastyEyelid surgery (known as blepharoplasty) is a corrective procedure that can reduce dark circles or “bags” under the eyes, remove excess wrinkles, and provide a more youthful appearance to the eyes. One of the first things noticed about a person is their eyes. During the aging process, wrinkles, lines, and puffiness contribute to a tired or aged appearance. The blepharoplasty surgery is often performed in conjunction with other facial procedures such as a facelift or rhinoplasty (nose surgery).
- AbdominoplastyWhen considering a tummy tuck, it is important to visit our Fridley cosmetic surgeon for a consultation. The results of an abdominoplasty procedure are long-lasting, but they can be greatly improved or diminished in certain circumstances. If you are near your ideal weight and are not planning on additional pregnancies, a tummy tuck may be right for you. Dr. Mahjouri’s experience in abdominoplasties enables him to help you accurately decide whether a tummy tuck is the right procedure for your cosmetic needs and what other options you may have at your disposal.
- Nose SurgeryTo begin the surgery, tiny incisions are made which allow the surgeon to access the underlying nasal structure. Once the skin is opened, the cartilage and bone are reshaped to form the basis for the new look. Two basic methods are utilized for performing nose surgery. These methods are referred to as the ‘open’ and the ‘closed’ techniques. The open technique allows for maximum visibility and control over the procedure. The incision used in the open technique is placed in-between the nostrils on the columella (the medial nostril strip). In the closed technique, the incisions are internal and heal faster; however, there is less surgical control over the outcome. The physician can discuss which technique is best when the patient arrives for the initial consultation visit.
- Body LiftOne of the recommended treatment options for the condition is a body lift. This process is the combination of several different procedures that Dr. Mahjouri conducts with careful precision, keeping safety in mind. By strategically planning and performing this treatment plan, our cosmetic surgeon removes the excess skin, tightens the rest, and helps you have the shape and contour you desire.
- OtoplastyEar surgery is commonly performed under general anesthesia for children and local anesthesia for adults. The standard otoplasty procedure brings the ears closer to the head. Otoplasty begins with an incision hidden in the crease behind the ear. This incision allows the cartilage located behind the ears to be reshaped in order to position them closer to the head. The procedure takes approximately one to two hours, depending upon the extent of surgery.

- Acne Treatment
- LesionsThe IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Photofacial is a non-surgical treatment that improves the skin tone and texture of the skin. The IPL is much like a laser but produces a broad spectrum of light instead of only one wavelength. IPL energy includes all of the light wavelengths that are optimal for removing a variety of discolored skin lesions (brown spots, age spots, freckling). The IPL also stimulates collagen production to smooth skin and reduce pore size. In addition to the face, the neck, arms, legs and upper chest areas can also be treated.
- Chemical PeelsThis medium depth chemical peel brings the benefits of a unique blend of intense peeling agents that include 0.3% Retinoic acid. Encouraging rapid turnover in skin cells, this procedure is especially beneficial for those with sun damaged, aging, blemish-prone, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, melasma and general poor skin quality.
- Skin CareIPL PhotoFacial treatments are gentle, with minimal discomfort. There is no “downtime’ after treatment, only temporary redness that fades within hours. Patients receiving PhotoFacial treatments do not need to take any time off from their usual activities. Improvement of age spots and dilated blood vessels can be seen after only one treatment, and skin texture progressively improves with additional treatments. PhotoFacials are one of the most effective treatments for facial redness due to rosacea. Your skin care specialist may recommend a series of 3 or 5 treatments scheduled 2 to 3 weeks apart.
- MicrodermabrasionScar revision surgery can be done under local anesthesia. It is performed to reduce or improve an unsightly scar on almost any part of the body, but it is more common on the face. There are several approaches and techniques to improve a scar. For scar revision, the old scar is removed and a new smaller scar replaces it. Resurfacing a thick or elevated scar may be performed for scar reduction by using laser, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or dermabrasions (sanding). Deep-pitted scars can be improved with a filler, but this improvement is temporary. Scar revision is not advised on keloid scars, they may be treated with a topical cortisone cream, or cortisone injections.
- AllergiesCandidates for RADIESSE® cosmetic filler treatment include patients showing obvious signs of facial aging. RADIESSE® candidates commonly seek treatment for prominent smile lines, marionette lines, and other facial wrinkles. RADIESSE® can also be used as an alternative to implant surgery, providing augmentation to a patient’s nose, cheeks, or chin. Patients suffering vocal cord insufficiency or oral and maxillofacial defects (such as periodontal and cystic defects) can also benefit from RADIESSE® treatment. Because RADIESSE® cosmetic filler is made of a natural substance that occurs in the body, no allergy testing is needed.
