• Dental Examination
  I became a patient of Doctor Sehler's through the high recommendation of my Dentist. Upon meeting with Dr. Sehler he performed a thorough oral examination and was very informative, but explained the condition of my gum tissue graft in easily understood terms that I could feel confident moving forward with the procedure. After my procedure, Dr. Sehler followed up with visits and phone calls to insure that I was recovering properly from the procedure and that the tissue graft was healing. I am now scheduled to have two additional tissue grafts completed and I have high regards for Dr. Sehler and his staff who handle patients in a very professional and personable manner.
• X-rays
  Dental x-rays show us the length and contour of the roots of your teeth. They also show us the density of your alveolar bone around your teeth and whether there are any cysts, abscesses, fractures, or other abnormalities in or around the roots of your teeth. We measure the percentage of the alveolar bone loss and the contour of the bone around your teeth to determine whether regenerative periodontal procedures are indicated.

• Crowns
  When the crown portion of a tooth fractures, there may not be adequate clinical crown height remaining for placement of a crown on the tooth. Removal of some alveolar bone surrounding the tooth will be necessary to provide the restorative dentist adequate clinical crown height for proper retention of the metal or porcelain crown. A crown lengthening procedure may also be necessary when tooth decay is near the root of the tooth.

• Periodontal Surgery
  After periodontal surgery, use of a rubber tip interdental stimulator is frequently recommended. This device will stimulate the circulation in your gum tissue, toughen the outer layer of your gum tissue and adapt the gum tissue firmly to the root surface of the tooth.

• Dentures
  Our Practice is limited to surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatment as well as dental implant surgery. Our focus is periodontal regeneration of the bone and gingival tissue which surrounds and supports the teeth. We also focus on replacement of missing teeth with dental implants. Placement of dental implants is usually a more conservative and more predictable procedure than bridges or removable partial dentures.

  Our business manager will assist you to pre-authorize your periodontal and dental implant procedures. We are a Delta Dental Premier Provider, but also accept most insurance plans. Please provide us with recent insurance information, social security numbers and date of birth for you and your spouse. This will speed up the response from your insurance company.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

• Oral Surgery
  Very professional and excels on oral surgery. Had (2) different procedure conducted with little bleeding and very manageable pain. Although pain suppressants were prescribed/given I did not need them after the first (24) hours. Explained the procedures in good detail with followup maintenance directives clearly demonstrated. Dr. Sehler cares well for his patients.
• Gum Surgery
  I had gum surgery, and I have to say that the whole procedure was relatively easy. Dr Sehler was patient and very thorough. He took me thru the process step by step, and I was very comfortable. I would recommend Dr, Sehler, and would not hesitate to use him again.
• Osseous Surgery
  "I am a multi-procedure patient of Dr. Sehler and recommend him as a professional, highly competent and personable periodontist. I have had osseous surgery (four quadrants) for periodontitis, distal wedge procedure and most recently soft tissue allografts (two quadrants) -- all were well explained beforehand, procedures went without complications, and post treatment instructions were clear. • Tooth Extractions

• Ridge Augmentation
  Dental implants should be placed in an ideal position for proper function (chewing) and cosmetics (smile). Occasionally the patient may require a Edentulous Ridge Augmentation procedure to increase the amount of alveolar bone available for proper placement of a dental implant. Bone grafting and use of a resorbable membrane is used to stimulate the patient's osteoblasts (bone producing cells) to develop additional alveolar bone mass. This procedure is done about 3-4 months prior to placement of dental implants.
• Bone Grafting
  Great dental work and highly recommended. Had bone grafting done and it was uneventful as it should be. Pain was minimal afterwards and the meds were right on to diagnose the issue. Would highly recommend this for any regenerative dental work needed. Just hope you only need to see him once..:)

General

• Teeth Whitening
  It is important that you use a soft brush and non-abrasive toothpaste to prevent gingival recession. Overzealous brushing is harmful. Use of toothpaste with baking soda or bleaching agents are often very abrasive. Brushing correctly and use of a water pik will prevent gingival recession.
