We specialize in all aspects of remodeling from kitchens and baths to all types of additions and whole house remodels. The majority of our projects come from repeat business or referrals from clients delighted with the personal service, and quality craftsmanship they experienced with their project.
• Bathroom Remodeling
  Cream City Construction did an excellent job with our Bathroom remodel. Both owners are very professional, well organized, detail oriented that will always make sure you are beyond satisfied with the project. They diligently manage and present professional sub contractors and make sure they are completing their jobs on time and with the highest quality. If there were surprises or concerns, they worked with with us for quick resolution that satisfied our needs both in cost and quality.
• Flooring
  Our kitchen remodel was a huge project but due to the knowledge and experience of Jim and Todd at Cream City Construction all went smoothly. The design was beautiful and the timeline was followed. Jim went out of his way to track down the granite originally selected for our counter tops. We appreciated the selections made for our sink, faucet, flooring etc. We weren't overwhelmed with decisions. Our kitchen is not only what we wanted - it is better than we could have imagined. We both enjoy having the room to work together in our new kitchen.
• Door Installation/Replacement
  During the past 15 years, I have contracted with Cream City Construction on five different occasions for remodeling projects that have included a kitchen, two bathrooms,a front entry way reconstruction, door replacements and closet organizers. I have continually been impressed with their attention to detail and extreme focus on customer service. In addition, their ability to create designs that are extremely functional while also maintaining consistency with the architectural style of older homes (ours is a 1920s era Tudor) is truly impressive. Our kitchen remodel is now 15 years old and we still get compliments on it. Both Jim and Todd are easy to work with and do a great job of making what can be a stressful process extremely pleasant through consistent communication and a demonstrated high degree of integrity. I would highly recommend this organization.

• Framing
  Tying in to old work is more labor-intensive, and requires more skill, than installing all new work. Imagine installing recessed lights in a new home under construction – all of the joists are visible and wiring is simply stapled up in clean straight runs to the electrical panel, which is completely accessible. Compare this to installing the same lights in a pre-existing, fully sheet rocked ceiling, with duct work and potentially insulation in the way. Wires must be “fished” across enclosed ceilings and down enclosed walls to reach the electrical panel. This comparison holds true for almost every phase of a remodeling project, from tying in framing and foundations, hooking into existing plumbing, and setting flooring on old, out-of-level subfloors.
• Tile Installation
  J im Grote with Cream City just completed our bathroom makeover. We recently moved into a 1930 home with a leaking shower. The existing plumbing could not be repaired but we did not want to go through a demo and lose the original tile work. Jim was able to come up with a creative solution to replace the plumbing, without sacrificing the tile. We were also incredibly pleased with his ideas to update the vanity, lights, and shower doors. It's the best of both worlds. Our bathroom is vintage, beautiful, and completely functional. A great experience all around. Jim is very responsive and easy to work with. He truly is concerned with his clients' happiness!

Construction

• Room Additions
  Cream City Construction has tackled 3 kitchen remodels, a basement overhaul, and a second floor bedroom/bathroom addition for our family. We could not be happier with Jim Grote and Todd Badvoski's work- the are professional, creative, stay true to their budget and their promises. Our latest remodel and family room addition won a gold award from Nari, and we are thrilled with the result. They stayed within the architecture of our 1928 historic home, yet added space and charm to allow our family of 6 to function and enjoy multiple spaces.
• New Construction
  We also excel at both planning and executing complex residential construction projects. Some of the very best work we do happens long before the sawdust starts to fly. We have developed a very structured process, as part of our Design - Build process (click here to see our process), to shepherd our clients from the very earliest stages of a project (concept design) all the way up until the construction contract is signed. With the planning complete, we transition the project to our Production department, which again utilizes a set of trusted systems and procedures for guiding the project from ground breaking to client move-in. Cream City Construction is a very systems-driven organization in order to deliver a low risk, low stress experience for our clients.
• Demolition
  Demolition and haul off takes time and costs money. We also provide site protection to each project to protect your home.
• Foundation Installation
• Sunrooms
   We contracted Cream City Construction to build an all season sunroom with a basement. Jim and Todd, the owners of CCC, are excellent people-persons, instilling confidence and assurance in their clients. Jim took our plans and did a sterling job of overseeing all facets of development. Both Jim and Todd were extremely attentive to every detail and sensitive to addressing our wishes and special requests. CCC subcontractors were the best in the business, professional, neat, courteous, and punctual. Jim completed the entire project in advance of the proposed finish date. Needless to say, we are exceedingly satisfied with all the craftsmanship, daily enjoying the completed product. Dozens of neighbors agree, awed by how well the addition is integrated to the original building and how quickly the project moved along. Our assessment... A+.
