Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, founded in 1887, offer six-core service areas to the youth of the area. Its program initiatives include character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, arts and cultural education, sports, fitness and recreation, and outdoor and environmental education. The club s education and career development program includes homework help and tutoring, computer proficiency, career preparation, and a T-shirt shop. Its art and cultural education program offers fine arts and craft education, dance, theater, music and talent shows. Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee hold soccer, football and basketball clinics to introduce members to each sport. And organizes girls only sports events, and baseball and football leagues. The club s list of partners include Associated Bank, Midwest Airlines, Rockwell Automation, Kohl s, Tribune Media Services, Master Lock, Wisconsin Energy Corporation, and MGIC Investment Corporation.
