• Teeth Cleaning
  Scaling and root planing is a deeper dental cleaning procedure. This is done to treat patients with current or developing periodontal disease. Not all patients need this level of cleaning, but it is a very important procedure for those patients who do.
• Fluoride Treatment
  Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by defending your teeth against acid attacks caused by plaque bacteria and sugars in your mouth. Amazingly, it can also reverse early tooth decay. For kids younger than 6 years, fluoride is important for the development of permanent teeth. Strong enamel makes it more difficult for acids to demineralize the teeth leading to cavities throughout their lifetime.

  Composite dental sealants can preserve your child’s teeth by protecting against cavities and acting as a barrier from food and bacteria.

  Composite fillings – also known as tooth-colored fillings – are dental restorations that are virtually unnoticeable. They blend with your own teeth and appear more natural than silver amalgam fillings. They also require less tooth structure to be removed, thus keeping the strength of your natural teeth.
• Resin Composite
  Dental bonding is a cosmetic dentistry procedure designed to correct tooth damage or perceived dental imperfections with natural-looking results. During the procedure, a color-matched composite resin is bonded to the surface of teeth to repair chips, cracks, discoloration, or gaps.
• Veneers
  Veneers are thin layers of porcelain or composite bonded to teeth to enhance their natural look while at the same time providing the necessary strength. Veneers are widely used for cosmetic purposes such as changing the shape, size, or color of teeth or for slight adjustments in alignment.

  A dental implant is a synthetic “root” or “post” that is surgically placed in the jawbone. This “post” is usually made of titanium, the same material used in hip and knee replacements. A crown & abutment is then attached to the post. Single teeth can be replaced with dental implants and bridges can also be supported by dental implants. Dental implants are always a wonderful way to add stability and retention to dentures.

  There are are many brands of clear aligners (Invisalign, Clear Correct, Smile Direct etc.) Teeth are orthodontically moved by changing aligners every 2-3 weeks and slowly moving teeth into a more ideal position. Clear aligners are a cost and time effective way to improve your smile.
• Braces
  As your child grows, you may wonder when they should be evaluated for braces or if anything can be done preventatively. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening no later than age 7. East Milton Dental provides an initial screening service to detect potential problems with the development of your child’s teeth or bite. After assessing the child, Dr. Regan can recommend if there is a need to see an orthodontist and if so, the appropriate developmental timing to do so.
