- X-RayJackman's Animal Clinic has recently updated our radiograph system (x-rays). We have upgraded from traditional film to digital radiography. Instead of radiographic film, digital radiography uses a digital image capture device. This gives advantages of immediate image preview and availability; elimination of costly film processing steps; a wider dynamic range, which makes it more forgiving for over- and under-exposure; as well as the ability to apply special image processing techniques that enhance overall display of the image. Also, in most cases, less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to film radiography. This upgrade will still allow us to do radiographs on large animals outside the clinic and allows us to have instant images wherever we may be. We, at Jackman's Animal Clinic, are very excited what our new technology will provide to you, our clients, and to our patients.
