The restaurant opened on South Main Street in Milpitas in December 2011. Zahir is no stranger to the restaurant business, nor to Milpitas. My wife and I discovered this gem in 1989. Exceptional. A huge menu, a wonderful and attentive host (Zahir himself), a nice ambiance (despite being in a strip mall), and truly delicious food. I'd call it Californian/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern. Wonderful. When we lived nearby, Zahir's was always our choice for special dinners (anniversary, birthday, family in town, etc.).
