Holmes Fire District 1 is responsible for providing fire protection, inspection and safety education services. It is administered by the government of Holmes County in Ohio. The fire district employs more than 55 volunteer and part- and full-time staff members. Holmes Fire District 1 operates various fire stations and maintains a fleet of fire engines, tankers, ambulances, and utility and brush trucks. It offers public fire safety education through lectures and demonstrations to schools, businesses, groups, organizations and the public. Holmes Fire District 1 also conducts fire safety inspections to ensure fire code compliance in commercial and institutional facilities.
