In the 1990s, Zitter Group was involved with the birth of disease management as an influence on the healthcare system, producing the first educational programs, the nation's largest conference, and a variety of tools for managed care organizations and health systems. Company founder Mark Zitter wrote the first chapter in the seminal book Disease Management: A Systems Approach to Healthcare.
