South Mountain School enrolls approximately 300 students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes programs in reading, writing, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally has art, music, computer science and physical education specialists. South Mountain School s after-school programs include homework assistance, games, sports activities and snacks. Each of its classrooms features printers and computers with Internet access. The school has a computer laboratory where students create multimedia projects and spreadsheets and learn digital photography and keyboarding skills. South Mountain School provides opportunities to students in grades four and five to experience broadcast journalism as an extracurricular club that produces morning news shows. It is located in Millburn, N.J., and is a part of Millburn Township Public Schools.
