Karl served as the President of the Snohomish County Bar Association in 2011. He was a Council Member of the Washington State Bar Association Construction Law Section and one of the authors of the WSBA’s Model Residential Construction Contract. Karl was a long-time coach with the Mukilteo Youth Soccer Club and Irish Soccer. He was an assistant with the Archbishop Murphy High School Mock Trial team. Karl currently serves on the board of the Mukilteo Schools Foundation. He is a Past President of the Everett Port Gardner Rotary club. Karl has been a shareholder of the firm since 2004. Karl recently completed a cross-Washington gravel bike ride starting in Everett and ending in Spokane. Karl attended the University of Notre Dame and Seattle University Law School.
- Personal InjuryBill currently serves as a member of the Snohomish County Bar Association Board of Trustees and he has served on various Sections and Boards of the Washington State Bar Association. Bill has the respect of the Snohomish County judges, who have appointed him as a Judge Pro Tem and Court Commissioner Pro Tem. The clerks of the court awarded him their 2006 Pro Tem Jurist award. Bill is also respected by his fellow lawyers, as evidenced by receiving the highest rating offered by Martindale Hubbell: AV Preeminent. “An AV certification mark is a significant rating accomplishment-a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.” Bill has also acted as an arbitrator in the Snohomish County Superior Court since 1986. His practice has focused upon civil trial work, including litigation in the areas of dissolution, personal injury, business, and real estate. Bill has a particular focus upon family law. He is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and was recognized as the 2007 Ken Weber Attorney of the Year by the WSBA Family Law section. Bill believes in mediation, is a founding member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Snohomish County Bar Association, and has been acting as a mediator for over 25 years. Bill is frequently sought out by attorneys and parties in arriving at amicable agreements to resolve their disputes through mediation. When not practicing law, Bill skis, bikes and golfs, although not particularly well. While recovering from various sports injuries, he also makes it a point to watch as many football games of his alma mater, Notre Dame, as he can.
