About 20 years ago I had a Rottweiler who got parvo. We took her to an animal hospiital and they kept her for a week then when our credit card ran dry they kicked her out. She was dying. I called around to find a vet that would let me pay some every month till I had paid the bill. Dr. Merry took her saved her life and let me pay monthly. Now we have adopted (from a volunteer rescue place). We found out at their visit to our vet that our little dachshund has a huge bladder stone and of course it must come out. We have spent about $500 for xrays etc. to diagnose her. The surgery will cost probably $1000 or so. Once again I find myself tapped out having paid for their adoption fee and vet checks. I am on disability and my income is low. So I called Dr. Merry's office. I explained my problem to the girl who answered including my history with Dr. Merry. She said she was new and would connect me to her supervisor. The woman who came on didn't even let me explain, saying that the girl had told her the problem. She said that Dr. Merry did not do the monthly payments now. I said was she sure and she said it came straight from him. I said "gosh I wonder where I can get some help for this. She said " Take them back to the shelter where you got them." (impatient voice). I said that I wouldn't do that , these were my dogs now. And she said "Maybe you should have thought of that when you got them. If you cannot afford to take care of them, you shouldn't even have them." (really snotty, superior and disdain.) I thanked her and hung up.I have no issue with the fact that the vet won't let me pay monthly. It is an unusual arrangement. But to have someone talk to a customer like that, so unprofessional and hateful, was mean. It made my bad day even worse and there was no reason. I was polite. She was not. Dr. Merry's people used to be caring and helpful. I guess not anymore. What a disappointment.

Very kind, caring, & professional. When we came back from a trip, our cat had developed an eye infection. They made an opening for us (don't want to wait with an eye infection!). We were so happy! The proscribed treatment was very effective. Dr. Merry is very comfortable to be with. All the staff were professional & courteous. Reasonably priced.

Dr. Merry has been our vet for over 25 years, caring for all 6 dogs and 1 cat we've owned during that time span. He is extremely kind and caring to the animals, and carefully explains all options to the owner without pressuring you to undertake every costly treatment available. His staff also is wonderful, treating us with great respect when our entire family tearfully gathered in the office to be with one beloved dog during her final moments. There's a reason we've stuck with this practice for so long. Highly recommended.
Doctor Merry cared for our Golden Retriever, pup through 16. He cared for our Alaskan Malamutes, pups through 16, and a litter of 8. Exceptional rapport with us and our animals. Caring and gentle.
Really liked this vet---very friendly, playful with the animals, worked me in for a non-emergency on his lunch hour! Cost was very reasonable.
