I have been going to Dr. Smith for over 17 years - ever since I adopted my first indoor cat. She has what I like to refer to as a wonderful bedside manner. She is very well-versed and gets right to the problem area. Dr. Smith was as delighted as I was when she has been able to resolve a problem for one of my cats. If medications are needed, she has them right on-site and dispenses the needed amount along with the proper dosage information; as well as instructions on getting that stubborn cat to swallow its pill. I have always found her very accommodating and helpful. She truly loves her work and her patients. She is honest and straight-forward; yet caring and gentle. She will present you with several treatment options and her own recommendation based on the animal's health and age. I have not and would not hesitate to recommend her for cat, dog, cattle, sheep, horse, or any other animal health problems. I have the DEEPEST respect for her AND her staff.

I am shocked by some of the reviews I've seen online. I began going to Dr. Smith 12 years ago after moving to Frenchtown. Throughout my life I've been rescuing cats (and a couple dogs). She's treated, neutered, spayed, done dental work, etc. etc probably 25 different cats and dogs of mine and my adult children. She accepts FOA certificates and also a limited amount of low income spay/neuters. There have been times I've had to put a cat down. She doesn't try to get you to do things you cannot afford. She has been understanding of the fact I'm on a limited income and has spread out my payments without being treated "differently". I HAVE always expressed my gratitude that she's been such a great vet. She's always been very kind and gentle to all my sweeties. I have the DEEPEST respect for her AND her staff.
