Established in 1995, Connecticut Center for Child Development is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism, Asperger's Syndrome, and other developmental disorders. The center s instructional methods are based on applied behavior analytic learning principles implemented in school, home, work, recreational and community settings. It offers preschool and elementary school programs, and behavior analytic consultation services. It operates eight programs, including a private school for children ages 3-21, with autism, and an outreach program for children in home and public school settings. It also provides a professional education initiative, which provides both basic and advanced training in applied behavior analysis. Its Institute for Educational Planning is a diagnostic clinic serving children with special needs, and also offers school startup consultation providing administrative and clinical expertise for behaviorally based service organizations. Connecticut Center for Child Development is located in Milford, Conn.
