Way too many dogs outside in the play yard with not enough supervision. You should never have that many dogs outside together for that long. Great concept...having dogs outside all day, but NOT safe. Other kennels have smaller groups of dogs by size/temperament and have adequate staffing to supervise. Would never recommend this place for boarding.
Just amazing. The best in the business! I would never take my dog anywhere else. I would also never take my SICK DOG TO A BE BOARDED EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Find a vet to board your dog, it should be around other dogs. I dont care how small of an infection it has. YOU DO NOT ALLOW THE DOG AROUND OTHER DOGS. They dont know, better and they simply want to play. The weight loss was probably a result of the dog being active for the first time in his life! My dog also loses weight when he plays there for several hours on end and has a wonderful time!!! Great place to take your dog!
My dog was rejected. While this is a huge inconvenience for me I think it speaks very well of the integrity of these business operators that they turned away a new (and would-be regular client) for the safety and well-being of their regular clients. My dog is a little bit aggressive in a playful way and I hope that I'll be able to bring her back after more training. In the meantime, I give this place a good vote for integrity.

I boarded my dog at the Dog Cabin in August 2009. He had an ear infection when he went to the kennel and they NEVER gave him his medicine as they were instructed. It became a major infection. He also did not eat at all while at the kennel. I called during the week to ask how he was and I was told he was "fine" and was eating fine...not true. MY DOG LOST 8 POUNDS IN 6 DAYS WHILE IN THEIR CARE....8 pounds!! This is unheard of. We were called on day 6 and were told he "caught a virus from another dog and he just appearing to show signs that he was sick". He required 2 days of IV for severe dehydration along with additional medical treatment. He almost died. The Dog Cabin is taking in WAY too many dogs than they can handle in my opinion. They told us they had 40 dogs per night PLUS the dogs they have for doggie daycare. My dog was lost in the shuffle and was not cared for as a result. The owners admitted he was not cared for and paid our vet bills. I would NEVER recommend this kennel!
