Since the company s founding by Fred Foster in 1975, Electronic Theatre Controls has become one of the global leaders in entertainment and architectural lighting equipment. ETC's fixtures, lighting control consoles, dimmers and distribution products are the backbone of lighting systems in venues throughout the world in places from schools and churches, to community theaters and TV studios, to opera houses and theme parks. The company also maintains an in-house, 24-hour technical and customer service staff, as well as an extensive network of factory-trained, authorized field service centers. Electronic Theatre Controls is headquartered in Middleton, Wis., where it is privately owned and employs nearly 600 people.
