The Middleton Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that employs a staff of sworn officers, civilians and community volunteers. The department operates a communication center that provides emergency and nonemergency information and communication services. It supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the usage of illegal drugs, gang activities and violent behavior. The department offers various support services, such as fingerprinting, alarm registration, vehicle identification checks, accident reporting and domestic violence prevention. In addition, it handles issues related to drug abuse, animal control, sexual offenses, shoplifting, identity theft, and traffic and parking law enforcement.
