When we moved back to IN after living in AZ for 12 yrs., we subscribed to the News Dispatch because it was the local paper, but were sorely disappointed. We have waited for it to improve for a few years now. That was more than a fair trial. It has less and less content all the time, and is accordingly less worthy of the $13.60/mos we pay for delivery (esp.on 1 Soc Sec income). Isn't Michigan City large enough to support a decent newspaper? What's the problem? We aren't charged significantly less than we pay for The Times or Tribune, but the content is so much less. No wonder it's nicknamed "The News Disgrace." It makes me sad to cancel delivery (actually, good delivery was the best part) because its' one thing my invalid husband enjoys daily, reading his newspapers. We also subscribe to The Times, which we will continue, and we will probably give The Post Tribune a try. We are certainly hoping to see marked improvement so we can justify subscribing again.
