My mom had to bring her dog in today for an X-ray. We were hoping it was a sprain but it was a break. The vet tech told me they wanted to amputate the whole back leg because of bone splinters. I went outside to call my regular vet for a second opinion. We only came here because they had an X-ray machine and my regular vet does not. When I came inside my mom was crying and yelling at them. When I went outside, they had dragged our dog up front by the leash and a young boy was pushing her from her back end where her leg was broke. He told me how else was he suppose to move her since she wasn't wanting to walk. I don't know why she wouldn't walk, maybe it was because she had a severely broken back leg! If the dog didn't want to walk on her broken leg they should have carried her or informed us to come carry her instead of dragging a injured dog and pushing her on broken leg. The girls and boy there today saw nothing wrong with what they did and did not apologize or even seem concerned for the dog. The vet left me a voicemail saying he had a talk with them and he didn't even apologize for the care our dog received. My regular vet didn't want to jump straight to amputation but said there's a good chance she will recover with a splint and only at a worse case will she lose her leg but not before he has tried everything to save it. You will never receive any of my business ever again.

We recently had moved to Miami and our little Silky Terrier Sasha got sick. We called and got right in to see the Dr. After an exam and blood work/Xray he determined that my baby possibly had Kidney Cancer. We took her home with meds and special food to try to extend her life comfortably for a while, but in less than 1 week she started having seizures at 1 am in the morning. She continued constant seizures until I could not take it any longer and we called Dr. Hough. He was kind enough to meet us at 3:30 am and put my baby out of her misery. I have had a hard time losing her, however, I have recently brought home a new baby and she is bandaging my heart. I will be taking her in to Dr. Hough soon for some of her shots needed. I highly recommend this hospital, all staff was very kind and understanding.
Great Vet. His whole staff are very knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend them for your veterinary needs. Both large and small animals.
